East Lynne plot

Robert Carlyle will soon marry Isabella, the daughter of an earl. The two live on Robert's estate, which is maintained by Cornelia, Robert's sister. It soon becomes clear that Cornelia is not allowed to Isabella and she will let you know as soon as she gets the chance. She even goes as far as pretending to be sick so she doesn't have to attend the wedding.
