Dr. Gillespie's New Assistant plot
"The happiest day of a girl's life... and then a strange shadow falls across her love!"
The health of the old doctor Leonard Gillespie is declining and the hospital management asks him to hire a new assistant, but he doesn't really want that. Gillespie therefore plans to hire an assistant with two left hands, but he is confronted by three wisecracking young students: American Randall Adams, Lee Wong Hoe from Brooklyn and Australian Dennis Lindsey. In the typical Gillespie approach, he tells them that the medical profession encompasses more than what is in the textbooks.
