Die Dritte Frau plot

After a land reform, Fritz Plessow got eight hectares of land plus a Neubauernhof (mansion farm). He is married, has two sons and a strong will, and he wants to show all people, including the agricultural cooperative, what he is capable of. But the animosity between him and the old farmer, Dolgenbrodt, remains. As a young servant, he had chased him from his yard because he saw a budding love affair between Fritz and his daughter Hella. But now love puts both men back on each other's path and the consequences can be merciless for both.
