Der Führerschein plot

The Riehl family recently bought a small house in a new neighborhood, somewhere in the countryside. mr. Riehl drives into town every morning, where he works in a furniture store, while daughter Sabine and son Berti still attend school. Mrs. Lotti takes care of the household and has to cycle a few kilometers for her shopping, where she is sometimes faced with unpleasant surprises. One day Lotti receives 1000 marks from an aunt, money that she wants to use for a driver's license. The family is speechless.
