Beth Winter finds a stray dog along the highway and takes it home. Beth, whose children are out of the house and whose husband Joseph is mostly self-occupied, develops a special bond with the dog. However, during a wedding in a remote place, Joseph loses sight of the animal. Beth immediately enlists all the wedding guests to look for him.
