Daniel's Daughter plot
Cate is a successful editor of Perfect magazine and is about to marry a media tycoon. She thinks her life is perfect until the day she receives her dead father's ashes. Cate is surprised because she hasn't seen or heard from her father since childhood. Her father sent her away at the time, because he could not cope with the upbringing after the death of Cate's mother. His last request is that Cate take his ashes to their hometown of New Kerry and scatter them in the same spot as her mother's. Cate is initially reluctant, but eventually leaves for the village with an assistant. There she meets some local residents who test her faith in her perfect life.
