"There comes a time when you have to lead your life...., not just follow it"

Already 3* for this statement
No kidding, this is a nice youth film about dreams, love and life vs duties. That such an impasse can change your character and attitude to life when the balance is lost becomes clear in this film. The environment increasingly turns away from Sara until she decides to make better choices, to choose more for herself.
Convincing actors, beautifully filmed and not to forget, good songs.

I don't really know why I had this movie on my to-watch list. I think it was because Scott Patterson (Luke from Gilmore Girls) is on the poster and I tend to watch movies with actors I like more quickly. Now I have to say that this movie is quite old and dated, but still entertaining enough. It is a typical 90's movie for young people, but even compared to the hits from back then I think it is a bit of a B-movie. But if you really don't know what to watch, the movie certainly has a nice message. And do you recognize Leah Pipes from The Originals as a teenager.
