In the small town of Gracie, New York, Cyd Merriman and Zach Callahan are just weeks away from cutting a difficult knot. Cyd is thinking of selling the dance studio, which has been in her family for several generations, to a property developer. But Laura Williams, lawyer and friend of the family, tells her it's not as easy as it seems, because there's another name on the title deed of the case, her father's. Suddenly, Cyd is confronted by the carpenter Tanner Grey, the father she never knew. Although her father only now hears again about the deed, he does not have the idea that Cyd's wish is to sell the Merriman Dance Studio, but to continue to exploit it. Zach, on the other hand, thinks Tanner shouldn't interfere in his fiancée's business...
