Musician Amadi has not heard from his older brother Ikenna for a long time. He travels from Nigeria to the Brazilian metropolis of São Paulo, where the mathematician Ikenna is supposed to work as a professor at a technology institute - at least that's what the institute's website says. But not only is there no trace of Ikenna, the institute doesn't even exist. With the support of both his uncle and Ikenna's ex-mistress, and in possession of his brother's mysterious notes and calculations, Amadi sets out in search of him.
