Chokorietta plot
Ten years in the future: The depressed teenage girl Chokolietta, who lost her mother as a young child, wants to end her life as a human and continue living as a dog. Before her death, she seeks help from 20-year-old Masumune, a novice filmmaker with sociopathic tendencies, with whom she shares a great love for Federico Fellini's films. Together they embark on a road trip based on Fellini's La Strada, through a stark and desolate landscape, where the effects of the 2011 Fukushima Disaster and other ghosts from the past are still strongly felt.
