Chichi Ariki plot
Shuhei Horikawa is a self-sacrificing, poor teacher who prioritizes fulfilling obligations over personal feelings. He places his son Ryohei in a boarding school while he looks for a job in Tokyo. After Ryohei graduates and becomes a teacher, he offers his father to come to Tokyo to take care of him. His father declines this offer because he believes Ryohei's work is more important.
