Cauchemar Conseil plot

Lucie, a French PhD candidate in Montreal, is in crisis. Broke, without a visa, and struggling with a troubled dissertation and a disastrous love life, she's caught between a hopeless affair with her thesis supervisor and the unwanted advances of her unemployed, Dostoevsky-obsessed ex. No wonder she's having trouble sleeping. Tormented by insomnia, sleepwalking, and vivid nightmares, Lucy occasionally visits a park on the outskirts of town where a reclusive shaman offers unconventional treatments to soothe her agitated mind. There, she also meets the cheerful and spontaneous Béatrice, whose instinctive zest for life and liberating friendship offer her a new, less stressful way of life.
