Carnival Lady plot

Tom Warren goes bankrupt and is abandoned by his bride-to-be on his wedding day. He flees the city and ends up at a traveling fair, where he meets Penny, a dancing girl he has his eye on. Tom gets a job at the fair, and a romance develops between the two. When Penny realizes Tom's high society, she worries that she is not worthy of him and wonders if they should fall in love.
