Biyaya ng Lupa plot

A young married couple, Maria and Jose, start a plantation in the countryside. They have four children. The eldest of the four, Miguel, is deaf-mute. Life is good at first, but then Jose gets into a fight with Bruno. Bruno is a widower who is feared in the village because it is suspected that he was responsible for the death of his wife. However, Bruno wants to remarry and has his sights set on Jose's niece.
