Bamunan plot

Siriman is the most prominent man in his native village, Koulousséna. He is married to the beautiful Nanyuma and they have a son together. In addition, Siriman is also a cycling champion. But when suddenly stricken with leprosy, Siriman's health steadily declines, as does his economic and social position in his village. And the misfortune continues to haunt him: his wife leaves him for one of her brother's tenants, who makes his fortune in the illegal drug trade. Siriman decides to confront the man whose herds graze in his fields with these entanglements. He leaves the village and goes to Bamako.
