Applause for Miss E plot

A woman who sacrificed her chance at fame by focusing on her family's well-being is given a second chance to make her dreams come true. Known to her friends as Miss E. Elestra Henton, she was a promising stand-up comedian when she turned away from the spotlight to save her marriage and raise her daughter. Years later, Miss E.'s marriage has broken down and she is estranged from her family. She is in the middle of her life and has nothing to fill the void.
