Devina wants to be a mother, but has had several miscarriages in recent years. She and her husband Rick have all but given up hope until Devina discovers she is pregnant with a healthy baby. Devina suffers from stress and also has to deal with her mother, named Ani, who has something against Rick. Everything becomes too much for Devina, after which she is admitted to a hospital. There, Devina receives shocking news: she suffers from a life-threatening blood disorder.
