Nice. A plot that is not difficult to follow but still intriguing, good acting and developing characters, some irony, a pinch of humor, stylish environment, shot of course (except for the fake background during a walk on the boulevard?). Enough to enjoy two hours and fifteen minutes.

A little too light to really impress.

And is it me, or did Carla van Cheers look very closely at Birdie?

This film is worth watching just to see Bette Davis shine.

All About Eve is an interesting glimpse into the entertainment industry of the last century where deception and envy are the main themes. The acting is very convincing. Actually all the characters in this film are interesting. The dialogues are captivating and sharp so that the film does not get boring. Also nice to see Marilyn Monroe in a small supporting role. The scene in the apartment celebrating Bill's return felt like some Hollywood stars actually got together and you get to peek into their lives.

After watching 2 movies of the current millennium, I took this one. Just flip the switch on this oldie. But soon the viewing pleasure surpassed old age, I forgot how old this film is. No CGI or sophisticated production values, but a strong script and good actors got the job done. A fairly long film that captivated me from start to finish thanks to the storyline that zooms in on what is human. I suspect the script was so successful because the scriptwriters stayed close to the theater and Hollywood reality. They didn't have to look far. As mentioned, all the actors are excellent, with special mentions for the 3 lead roles Bette Davis, Anne Baxter and George Sanders. Also a noted appearance is Marilyn Monroe in a role typical of her. This seems to me to be a more than deserved classic.
