Al-Massir plot
In the twelfth century, the philosopher Averroes wrote an important series of treatises in the Moorish Cordoba that would have a major influence on the Enlightenment. However, the Caliph of Cordoba wants to burn the books on the grounds of blasphemy, so as not to turn the fundamentalists into a political enemy.
