A Little Closer plot

"Three family members each learn the cruelties of love and sexuality"

Single mother Sheryl is desperate for a new man who can take care of her two sons like a father. She attends a weekly dating night, hoping to meet her Prince Charming. Sheryl's eldest son Marc (16) is still a virgin and receives sexual advice from the older boy Don. When he asks 15-year-old Joanna to go out and she says yes, he decides to do everything necessary to have sex with her. And then there's the youngest son Stephen (12), who falls in love with the teacher everyone hates so much. He puts the loyalty of his classmates to the test. The relatives face similar problems, but that doesn't bring them closer together.
