A Home at the End of the World plot

Bobby (Colin Farrel) and Jonathan meet at school in the 1960s. When Bobby's brother is killed, his world collapses. Shortly afterwards he also loses both his parents and Bobby moves in with his school friend Jonathan and his parents who take him in as their second son. Jonathan and Bobby have a special bond and even experiment sexually with each other. When Jonathan's mother (Sissy Spacek) catches them, Jonathan decides to get out of the house as soon as possible. Years later, Bobby visits Jonathan in New York and falls in love with his roommate Clare (Robin Wright-Penn). Tensions between the three arise when the boundaries blur who loves whom.
