"Two boys. One can't remember. The other can't forget."
At the age of eight, Brian Lackey wakes up with a nosebleed in the crawl space of his childhood home. He has no idea how he got there. But whatever it may have been, it is responsible for its further course of life. Since the incident, Brian has been afraid of the dark, wets the bed and is plagued by intense nightmares. Brian is now eighteen and becomes convinced that he must have been abducted by aliens at the time. Neil McCormick is the ultimate handsome outsider. The boy everyone likes, but no one really gets close to. As an eighteen-year-old boy, he longs for a time that has already passed for ten years. He longs for the bond he had with his baseball coach as an eight-year-old boy. He thinks he is looking for love. Brian's search for answers leads him to Neil. Together they uncover the events that had such an impact on their lives.

Except for one hard scene, this raw reality is presented fairly discreetly.
Movie that captivates you. While the main character's behavior may be related to childhood fantasy, frustration, or trauma based on childhood experiences, the ending reveals a very harsh truth.
Good film, not a masterpiece but definitely worth seeing and letting it sink in.

Heartbreaking and penetrating drama film about the consequences of sexual abuse of two 8-year-old boys. The dramatic events take place during a summer baseball season. After that it will determine their further life, it will never be the same again, they have lost their naivety. Both boys deal with this trauma in their own way. Ten years later, Bryan searches for Neil to find answers to his questions and unclear memories. Cinematography is dark and murky, plot is raw, confrontational and revealing. The film evoked a lot of emotions in me and I could feel the mental and physical pain of the boys, as it were. How damn sad it is that such things happen! A must-see movie, if only to remind us what grownups do to small children.......
