The Portuguese Francisca has been living in the Brazilian Belo Horizonte for a year now. When an old acquaintance, Teresa, follows her and comes to live with her temporarily, Francisca is not exactly thrilled. They hadn't lost sight of each other for nothing. Teresa is an energetic chatterbox, the loner Francisca likes her rest. Still, it turns out to be a good match; cautiously a close friendship develops.
