36 Hours to Kill plot
Los Angeles mobster Duke Benson who has a winning ticket from a lottery also happens to be on the run from justice. Duke takes the train to Chicago to collect his prize and behaves inconspicuously so as not to be discovered. But also on board Duke's train are the G-man Frank Evers and the sensationalist newspaper journalist Anne Marvis. Initially, both do not notice Duke, because they are at odds with each other.
