Yôsei no Uta plot
This documentary tells the life of Mio (Susumu Hani's 6-year-old daughter Mio Hani), a Japanese girl who moves from France to an orphanage in Sardinia. This film tells the story of her adaptation to the new environment and the adaptations of the local children before her. It starts with her first day of school. Mio walks around with a big name tag and doesn't speak a word of Italian. Mio's world and her new community are artfully depicted in this film. Gradually she moves from the butt of jokes to a girl who is totally accepted by her environment.
