Vuosi 1952 plot

After twelve years of waiting, the biggest dream of sports-loving Finland finally came true in 1952: the Summer Olympics took place in Helsinki. This marked the start of the country's post-war revival. The country had recovered, risen from the ashes of two wars, and the economy was back on track. For the first time in a long time, the future looked like everything was going to be smooth sailing.
