Trouble in Amish Paradise plot

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is the home of the Amish in America. It was there that their first settlement in the United States arose. Now there are 30,000 Amish. Their lives have changed little since their ancestors arrived here 300 years ago. They wear sober clothes, averse to any vanity. They have no electricity or cars and avoid all modern technology. But meanwhile, the world around them has not stood still and their way of life contrasts sharply with that of the rest of the American consumer society. Here we meet the Amish of Weavertown, a village with about thirty families. Some of them live strictly according to traditional Amish traditions, but others have recently been stigmatized or even excommunicated for not following the strict rules. Like the family of Ephraim Stoltzfus.
