The Work plot
"Sometimes change can only come from the inside."
Under the inspiring leadership of James McLeary, Donald Morrison and ex-con Rob Allbee, several inmates convicted of serious violence participate in group therapy at In New Folsom Prison. Once every two years, the prison opens its doors to citizens who contribute and participate in the group sessions for four days. This documentary follows one group as both the inmates and the visitors, with each other's help, face their deepest, darkest secrets and emotions and have the chance to put them to good use.
