The Forecaster plot
Martin Arthur Armstrong was able to make precise predictions of economic figures in the 1980s with the help of a computer model and the number Pi; for example, using his formula, he was able to predict the October crash of 1987, the dollar collapse of 1986, and the Nikkei crash of 1989. He was named Economist of the Decade, but the FBI wanted to use his model to manipulate Russia's economy.
