Songs for Alexis plot

Eighteen-year-old Ryan from New York is "trans": he was born a woman, but goes through life as a man. He talks candidly about the removal of his breasts and his desire to have belly hair. His mother is also sobriety herself, as we see when she explains some details about Ryan's history while shopping with a friend. For Ryan's 16-year-old girlfriend Alexis, it was love at first sight.
