Shabu plot

Shabu (14) is a sweet, creative and street smart boy from South Rotterdam. After he wrecks his grandmother's car on a joyride, his whole family is angry with him. He has one summer to make amends before his grandmother returns from a holiday in Suriname. His mother suggests that he sell popsicles to pay for the damage with the proceeds, but that doesn't help. So he comes up with another solution in which he can combine the attractive things of the sultry summer, his musical talent and earning money. Would it be possible to make his family, but especially his grandmother, proud again? “I'm a little boy from Peperklip”, Shabu describes himself, referring to the famous (and infamous) building in South Rotterdam where he grew up.
