Room Tone plot
From Detroit to New Orleans and via Memphis and New York to Los Angeles - “Room Tone” takes the viewer on a road trip through the United States, in which each city retains its individuality. A trip that shows the excesses of the American dream and the emptiness of contemporary society. Romantic cityscapes and expansive landscapes are given a sour aftertaste by the underlying text fragments and soundtracks from fascinating American films from the 1970s. At other times, director Céline Baril brings out voices from the protests of the 1960s, including those of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.
