Prikkeldraad plot
About ten thousand Dutch people spent years in the Altengrabow and Mühlberg camps on the Elbe during the Second World War. They were young, conscripted men who had to work for the Germans - officially voluntarily, but on pain of death or abuse of relatives. Although the men suffered the same hardships as other camp inmates, they were received in the Netherlands as traitors after the war. The director's father, one of the camp inmates, had already worked with Joh Mulder on a book about their experiences during their imprisonment, which was published after the war under the name Prikkeldraad. Son Entrop found six very elderly survivors of the camp, who for the first time tell about their terrible experiences and the chilly return home. Together with photos and text fragments from the book, they once again bear witness to the inhumane acts during the Second World War.
