My Life Is My Message plot
Thich Nhat Hanh, monk, Zen teacher, writer and peace activist, born in Vietnam in 1926, organized a nonviolent resistance movement after the outbreak of the Vietnam War. During the period surrounding the Memorial Day of September 11, 2001, he is in Washington DC, teaching Congressmen in Living Mindfulness. In this way he tries to make his message of peace as effective as possible in the center of world power. He also works at his home base Plum Village in the south of France with groups of Palestinians and Israelis, among whom horrific experiences are exchanged and discussed together in the hope of recognizing each other's suffering.
