Morts à Crédit plot
In 2009 the French Claudine Schnegg commits suicide. This mother of four had made a mountain of debt of more than 200,000 euros in just a few years. Claudine was just one of many who are tempted by credit institutions into, at first sight, favorable loan conditions, after which they can no longer pay off those debts. In 2010, the so-called 'Loi Lagarde' was enacted in France, a law intended to better protect consumers. De Loi Lagarde has missed its target, however, and an alarming number of French people are still working themselves into debt.
