Meu Primeiro Contato plot
More than forty years ago, the Ikpeng Indians in the Brazilian Amazon forest first saw a group of white people. The researchers brought presents and recorded the first contact with the primitives on photo and film. To protect the Indians from the invaders and the diseases they brought, the entire tribe was transferred by boats to the Xingú reservation. Here they live together with other tribes and are an attraction for white tourists. In My First Contact, the Ikpeng themselves tell the story of the first meeting with the whites and the events that followed.
