Lejos de los Árboles plot
A document about a world whose horrors stem from socio-political circumstances in which the government of the time did as little as all governments before. In essence, Spain in 1972 is still a poor and backward country, which even then derives its identity from peasant rituals of sometimes unbelievable cruelty. But for all the atrocities and horrors, it is perhaps the part that lives the most in a country from which spirituality is slowly seeping away.
