The sixties. Novice filmmakers Chris Stamp and Kit Lambert are looking for a subject for their 'underground film'. One that accurately reflects 'being young and dissatisfied in post-war London'. During the search they come across a band called The High Numbers. Instead of making a movie, they decide to manage this band. The band appears to form the basis for The Who.
