Jerusalem Is Proud to Present plot
Jerusalem prepares for the first international Pride Parade. However, this is met with fierce resistance from Jewish, Muslim and Christian spiritual leaders. They unite in a fanatical struggle against 'the fogging of the holy city'. Parade organizers face violent displays of homophobia and personal threats. Coupled with the ubiquitous political and religious tensions in Jerusalem, the parade appears doomed to fail. But backed by civil rights groups and the only gay councilor in parliament, the Open House activists, the organizers of the parade, are steadfast despite all the opposing factors.
