Holocaust Escape Tunnel plot
For centuries, the Lithuanian city of Vilnius was one of the most important Jewish centers in the world, earning it the title "Jerusalem of the North" until the Nazis destroyed it. About 95% of Vilna's Jewish population was murdered and the synagogues and institutions were reduced to ruins. The Soviets got the job done and the remains of the famous Great Synagogue of Vilna were removed so thoroughly that few today know it ever existed. Now an international team of archaeologists is trying to restore this lost world. At a former Nazi execution site in Lithuania, an international team of archaeologists searches for a missing escape tunnel dug by Jewish prisoners.
