"Indigenous Architecture: The Past. The Present. The Future."
From Earth to Sky portrays the work of seven native architects who design unique buildings in cities and communities across North America and on Turtle Island. The architects, including Douglas Cardinal, Canada's first Indigenous architect, and Tammy Eagle Bull, America's first female Indigenous architect, are diverse in gender, age and artistic approach. What unites them is their identity. After harrowing experiences of poverty, exclusion, violence and forced assimilation, they have all overcome adversity to reach the top of their field.
