Hans Keller and translator Wim Hartog travel in the footsteps of the writer Konstantin Paustovsky, who died in 1968, through the former Soviet Union. On their journey through Leningrad, Moscow, Kiev, Cherkassy and Odessa, they pass by his old house and meet his children. They try to imagine what the writer's life was like.
