Chine 87, les Autres plot

In the second half of the eighties, Jean-Pierre Outers traveled through the then still very closed China. The images he filmed at the time with a simple VHS camera form the basis of Chine 87, Les Autres. The film, which he edited with Violaine de Villers, looks more like a video essay than a travelogue about the diversity of Chinese culture, but also takes a look at everyday life.
