Carmen was also injured, she had to go into hiding and later she fled the dictatorship. Now she returns to her homeland and meets her family, friends and residents of the Calle. On the basis of their testimonies, she tries to find an answer to the question whether the resistance actions of that time really made sense and whether Miguel and his family died in vain.
