Breuer's Bohemia plot

After retiring from the Bauhaus and leaving Europe in 1937 for the US, Marcel Breuer was given a unique opportunity to build in Connecticut. Under the care of a few progressive clients, he was able to build his first experimental houses here. The wildest years of his life, a mix of exuberant parties and great social involvement. From its resistance to the cold war mentality of the 1950s to the lavish free love of the 1960s, 'Breuer's Bohemia' showcases the progressive idealism behind this legendary Hungarian master's designs.
