When documentary filmmaker Ian Thomas Ash learns that his girlfriend Katsuko (1942-2012) is terminally ill, he decides to make a film about her. The result is a documentary consisting of a series of intimate conversations Ash had during the last years of her life. Katsuko candidly tells about her life and impending death. She does not shy away from any subject and she discusses, among other things, the difficulties of an arranged marriage and the adultery of her husband.
