Yûkai Hôdô plot

Hideyuki Mitamura, a student at a private school near Osaka, is kidnapped on his way home from school. Police announce that the kidnapper is demanding 30,000,000 from the boy's father, who is a pediatrician. Because the boy's life is at stake, the demand is mandatorily printed in all newspapers. In the Mitamura home, mom and dad, along with Detective Endo and six other police officers, are anxiously waiting for a phone call from the kidnapper…
