"YOU'D GIVE A DOG A BETTER CHANCE!"
After boxer Johnnie has won the world title, he celebrates exuberantly. In a drunken stupor he gets into an argument with a journalist, but in his drunkenness Johnnie loses consciousness. When he wakes up elsewhere the next day to find that the reporter has been killed and that the papers are blaming Johnnie, he flees west where he finds shelter with Goldie and some run-down boys.
