Shussho Iwai plot
Japan, in the late 1920s. While the clans around old samurai traditions are slowly crumbling, the yakuza gangs are on the rise. Yakuza gang leaders are not only targeting each other's power, they also have yet to fear the old leaders. When mobster Iwahashi (Nakadai) is released early due to a general amnesty, he immediately rejoins the Enokiya gang. However, the Kannon gang still remember exactly why Iwahashi was incarcerated: the murder of their boss. His release cannot be without consequences.
