Selbstbedienung plot

In January 1965, a trio of burglars fail to break into the safe of a large department store in Berlin. A day later they read in the newspaper that they missed half a million marks. They decide to take part in the resit on Ascension Day, because the conditions are ideal then. This is because the visit of the English queen will take place, which will make the police overloaded.
